So Proud! 43 Of The 96 Howard Univrsity Doctor Of Pharm Candidates Are Nigerians
Nigerian students made us all proud last Saturday at Howard University in Washington D.C,. Of the 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were Nigerians!
Not only that, 27 awards were presented, and 16 went to Nigerians.
Also, more than 400 students received professional degrees in law, medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
U.S. President Barack Obama delivered the keynote address at the event.
Howard University has the only dental and pharmacy colleges in the District of Columbia. The graduates represented 46 states and 35 countries. The youngest graduate at the ceremony was 20-years-old and the oldest was 74.

(17) The first hospital in Nigeria was established in Abeokuta, Ogun State on 27th January 1895.
